You can get on the road to high performance though the Motorcycle Rider Course (MRC): Riding and Street Skills (RSS) program at Thomas Nelson Community College.
The MRC/RSS is designed to teach the novice motorcyclist the skills required to ride safely on the street. The 15 hour course of instruction takes the beginning rider through the basics of motorcycle operation, effective braking, turning skills and obstacle avoidance, as well as safe riding strategies. The course consists of 7 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours of actual hands on training. Due to the demanding nature of the course, 20 hours are required to administer the program with time being allowed for breaks and lunch.
The MRC/RSS program provides helmets and motorcycles (125cc to 350cc) for student use. They are provided by area dealers who support the program through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Loan Program. Textbooks are also provided.
Instructors for the program are all experienced motorcycle operators who are nationally certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Completion of the MRC/RSS program prepares the student for the state licensing exam as well as providing up to a 10% insurance discount with many major motorcycle insurance companies.

MOTORCYCLE RIDER COURSES are held almost every weekend.
